Richard A. Marquez has been in the field of education for over thirty years. He has been a middle school teacher, a bus driver, a cafeteria monitor, a Middle School Assistant Principal, a High School Assistant Principal, an Elementary School Principal, a High School Principal, an Area Assistant Superintendent, and also a Superintendent.
In 1990, Richard was selected as the first Special Adviser to the United States Secretary of Education for dropout prevention. While in Washington, D.C., he played a major role at the department on what came to be the Office of Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans.
In 1997, he became a full time consultant and in 2000, he established what is now known as Marqcom, Inc. He has been known to teach six to seven classes a day as part of his mentor/coaching processes.
